Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking a Senior/Principal Building Structures Engineer in the UK. You will lead structural design and delivery for infrastructure and Ministry of Justice projects, including secured facilities, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Extensive building-structures design experience preferred.
• Chartered or Incorporated status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of structural designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Develop robust solutions complying with Eurocodes and Building Regulations.
• Review and check deliverables for technical quality.
• Mentor engineers and technicians across multiple schemes.
• Manage design quality and programme performance across projects.
• Coordinate with architects, building services engineers and contractors.
