South Lanarkshire Council in Hamilton is seeking a diligent Planning and Regulatory Services professional to oversee building standards work. You will manage Building Warrant applications, assess plans and issue warrants and completion certificates, ensuring compliance with Technical Standards.

The role requires strong communication, organisation and the ability to travel across the South Lanarkshire area, with a 35-hour week and a salary in the £54,783–£59,911 range.

Competenze

• Experience with Building Standards or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to travel within South Lanarkshire.

Mansioni

• Oversee processing of Building Warrant applications and related views.
• Assess developments on site for compliance with Technical Standards and drainage testing.
• Respond to general enquiries and FOI requests from the public and other organisations.
• Oversee inspections under Building (Scotland) Act 2003 sections and coordinate remedial actions.
• Carry out inspections for Licensing functions including Safety at Sports Grounds and HMO considerations.
