Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Building Regulations & Compliance Consultant to lead regulatory assessments and approvals across projects in London and beyond. You will review plans, coordinate inspections, and liaise with design teams to ensure adherence to building codes and safety standards.

The role requires a strong background in Building Surveying or Architecture or Construction Management, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Architecture or Construction Management.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory framework behind building regulations and technical design including commercial fit out.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and documents to ensure compliance with building regulations and related legislation.
• Carry out inspections to verify compliance with health, fire safety, energy conservation and accessibility.
• Collaborate with design teams to identify hazards and support risk workshops.
