Huws Gray Group in Market Weighton is seeking a Senior Sales Person with deep knowledge of building materials to join our branch. You will build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, support colleagues, and help grow sales and profitability.

You will engage with customers in person or by phone, tailor quotes, recommend products, and collaborate with the yard and counter teams to ensure a smooth, profitable operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a builders’ merchant or a sales-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of building materials.
• Experience leading or supporting a team would be an advantage.
• Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Building connections – chatting with customers in person or over the phone, using your experience in the industry to give helpful, confident advice.
• Creating tailored solutions – putting together quotes, following up on enquiries, and turning leads into real opportunities.
• Keeping things running smoothly – handling day to day admin and keeping everything on track.
• Offering guidance – helping customers choose the right products by drawing on up to date knowledge.
• Enhancing the shopping experience – keeping displays tidy, well stocked and easy to browse.
• Collaborating – working closely with the team across the branch, including the yard and counter.
