Job summary

Ribble Valley Borough Council seeks a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join its Building Control Team in Clitheroe. The role involves ensuring new builds and alterations comply with safety, sustainability, accessibility and design standards.

Requires a Class 2d Building Inspector registration, a relevant degree with CABE/RICS membership, and at least 5 years of Building Control experience. A full UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Building Safety Regulator as a Class 2d (minimum) Building Inspector.
• Relevant degree with full membership of CABE or RICS or other relevant professional membership.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Building Control section.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new buildings, alterations, installations and extensions meet regulatory standards of safety, sustainability, accessibility and design.
• Work in a rural Borough setting to uphold building control duties and regulatory compliance.
