Job summary

Huws Gray Northwich is seeking a Senior Sales Person with building materials knowledge to join our team at the Northwich branch. You’ll build relationships with customers and suppliers, tailor quotes, and help grow sales and profitability.

You’ll work alongside the yard and counter teams, delivering confident product advice and a great shopping experience. We offer flexible working options and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in builders’ merchant or sales-focused role, with knowledge of building materials.
• Strong time-keeping, organisation and clear communication skills.
• Experience leading or supporting a team is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build connections with customers in person or by phone, offering confident advice.
• Create tailored quotes, follow up on enquiries, and convert leads into opportunities.
• Handle day-to-day admin and keep branch operations on track.
• Guide customers to the right products using up-to-date knowledge.
• Keep displays tidy and stocked to aid quick material selection.
• Collaborate with yard and counter teams to help customers get right materials.
