Job summary

Arcadis in the UK seeks a senior Structural/Civil Engineer to lead delivery on bridges and major civil projects. You will guide design teams, ensure safety, quality and schedule, and manage client relationships across public and private sectors.

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is required, with experience leading teams of around five engineers on complex projects. A diverse, collaborative culture and varied, high-profile schemes await.

Qualifications

• Have a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in Structural / Civil Engineering
• Achieved Chartered or Incorporated Engineer professional status, or equivalent
• Have previous relevant experience including supervision of elements of large, complex structural engineering projects - bridges, retaining walls etc across both new build and existing assets.
• Experience of leading a team (around 5 Engineers), providing sound leadership support, whilst delivering on projects

• Provide technical leadership and advice to project team members
• Apply sound independent engineering judgement in the development of projects
• Commercial awareness of engineering project delivery
• Maintain and extend a sound theoretical approach to the application of technology in engineering practice
• Discuss ideas and plan competently and with confidence

• Experience of delivery to a project’s quality management system
• Have a sound knowledge and experience of the management of design risks
