Job summary

Pell Frischmann is recruiting a Principal Bridge Engineer to lead complex bridge and civil structure projects across highways, rail and infrastructure. You will mentor engineers, engage clients, and drive technical excellence across the Bridges cohort, supported by digital delivery and whole-life asset thinking.

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree; working toward chartership.
• Chartered Engineer (ICE/IStructE).
• Post graduate technical specialism.
• Significant post study experience in bridge design/assessment within consultancy.
• Experience leading teams or packages of work.
• Strong technical capability, understanding of DMRB/Eurocodes, communication skills, stakeholder management.
• Advanced FE modelling using MIDAS and BIM integration experience; bid leadership, business development, or technical innovation.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead on complex projects and major work packages.
• Provide technical assurance and oversee compliance with standards.
• Manage and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Support business planning, resource allocation and project governance.
• Participate in inspections, assessments, and site work.
