Job summary

Pell Frischmann is recruiting a Principal Bridge Engineer to join our Civil Structures team across the UK, delivering complex bridge and civil structure projects for highways, rail and developers. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and engage directly with clients and stakeholders.

You will bring a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, be on the path to chartership, and have strong knowledge of DMRB/Eurocodes, advanced FE modelling (MIDAS) and BIM integration, with

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural engineering degree required.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Postgraduate specialization in bridge engineering.
• Experience leading teams or packages of work.
• Experience in bridge design/assessment within consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead on complex projects and major work packages.
• Provide technical assurance and oversee compliance with standards.
• Manage and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Support business planning, resource allocation and project governance.
• Participate in inspections, assessments, and site work.
