Job summary

Pell Frischmann is seeking a Principal Bridge Engineer to join our Civil Structures team. You’ll lead complex bridge projects across highways and rail, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and partners.

The role spans office and site work across the UK, with a focus on innovative design, asset management and whole-life thinking. You will bring a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, chartered status, and postgraduate specialization, plus hands-on experience leading teams and

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Eng degree required; working toward chartership.
• Chartered Engineer status (ICE/IStructE) preferred.
• Postgraduate technical specialty in relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead on complex projects and major work packages.
• Provide technical assurance and oversee standards compliance.
• Manage and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Support business planning, resource allocation and project governance.
• Participate in inspections, assessments and site work.
