Job summary

GTS Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Bridge Manager to lead the safe operation, maintenance, inspection, and performance of a major bridge and structures portfolio in the United Kingdom. This high-profile role combines technical leadership, operational management, and strategic asset stewardship.

You will manage inspections, maintenance programmes, budgets, contractor performance, and stakeholder relationships, while acting as the technical authority for asset management and safety

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• ICE/IStructE membership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams.
• Manage bridge inspections, maintenance, and improvements.
• Act as technical authority for structural asset management.
• Ensure compliance with standards, legislation, and health & safety.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead incident response and risk management.
