Job summary

JDO is seeking a senior brand & packaging designer to join our Royal Tunbridge Wells studio, with hybrid options to London. You will lead design thinking across briefs, mentor junior designers and shape standout packaging for a global personal care brand. A calm, confident creator with high standards will help drive our creative vision.

You’ll contribute to strategy, brand alignment and studio delivery, balancing big ideas with fine detail while mentoring peers to grow talent across the team.

Qualifications

• Around 5–8 years’ experience in brand and/or packaging agency environments with a strong portfolio.
• Proven ability to bring brand thinking to packaging and beauty/personal care.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and leading parts of a project.

Responsibilities

• Creative thinking & crafting excellence from concept to craft, raising the team’s standards.
• Strategic & brand alignment ensuring briefs stay true to brand truth and opportunities.
• Studio process & project delivery with clear timelines and quality control.
• Team collaboration, feedback, critiques and cross-disciplinary contribution.
• Leadership & mentoring to support growth and accountability within the team.
• Commercial acumen: managing time, budgets and value within the project scope.
