Job summary

De La Rue is seeking a Cleaning Assistant for our Loughton, Essex site. You will report to the Facilities & Utilities Supervisor, ensuring the production floor and employee areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include waste transport, stock replenishment, and general cleaning across areas.

Base location is Loughton with a day shift 10am–6pm, Monday to Friday. A strong focus on H&S and teamwork is essential for this industrial environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport waste to designated collection points
• Replenish consumables (soap, rolls, paper towels) as needed
• Empty waste bins and manage recycling
• Identify and report fixtures and H&S near-misses/risks/hazards
• Sweep, vacuum and mop floors
• Dust and polish furniture, ledges and surfaces
• Use chemical agents following instruction/training
• Maintain cleaning stock and flag low levels
• Carry out routine admin tasks like checking cleaning sheets
