Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper for their Leeds office.

The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping for varied clients, VAT/CIS returns, and monthly management accounts, with a clear progression path and onsite working. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of practice experience, holds or is studying AAT 3/4 or ICB, and is proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and cloud tools (Dext, Hubdoc).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT Level 3/4 or ICB qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cloud accounting platforms and VAT/CIS.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day client bookkeeping across varied portfolios.
• Process sales/purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and trial balances.
• Prepare VAT and CIS returns with MTD compliance.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts and reconciliations.
• Onboard clients onto cloud software and assist with digital migration.
• Ensure filing deadlines are met and assist in training juniors.
• Support the team in a busy, growing practice.
