Job summary

The BakeRite Company is seeking a technically exceptional Senior Bookkeeper to own transactional finance across a growing multi‑entity group in Coalville. This hands‑on role ensures every transaction is coded correctly, first time, and supports the Group Financial Controller.

You will manage purchase ledgers across Sage50 and SAP B1, handle VAT, landed costs and multi‑currency processing, and use AI-assisted invoice capture with rigorous accuracy. Office based in Coalville.

Qualifications

• AAT-qualified or equivalent bookkeeping qualification with multi-entity experience.
• Strong VAT knowledge including partial recovery and reverse charge.
• Experience with foreign trade, landed costs and multi-currency processing.
• Proficiency in Sage50 and SAP B1; quick to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Own purchase ledger processing across multiple entities and correct VAT treatment.
• Review card transactions, ensure proper allocations and audit trail.
• Apply VAT rules including CIS, reverse charge and exemptions.
• Prepare VAT returns as needed for group entities.
• Reconcile group bank accounts and process supplier payments.
• Produce reports for the Group Financial Controller and maintain COA.
• Utilise AI tools for invoice capture with accuracy checks.
