Job summary

RED, part of Tractebel, is seeking a fully experienced Senior BMS Engineer to be based in our London office. The role involves producing control sequences, specifications and drawings for complex building automation projects, reviewing contractor designs, and leading technical meetings with clients and teams.

Applicants should have Chartered status or working towards it, strong experience in BMS/BEMS, and a solid understanding of networks, security and European standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience at Senior Engineer level or above
• Understanding of British and European Standards/UK Regulations/Codes
• Familiar with building management systems and automation
• Experience in project design reviews and client sign-off meetings
• Ability to travel to international projects as required

Responsibilities

• Produce design documents, sequences of operation and technical reports
• Review contractor proposals for compliance with design specs
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants and contractors
• Specify and witness FATs, SATs and commissioning activities
• Support delivery of RED project processes across PM, QA/QC and technical review

Produce points lists for Control Systems Write Sequence of Operation documents from review of MEP designs and through discussion and agreement with design engineers. Produce specifications from templates, software specification writing tools and from fresh where necessary.
