Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Research and Intelligence team in London. You will work within the Account and Smart Contracts chapter, developing behavioral heuristics, graph algorithms, and ML techniques that power our blockchain analytics platform.

You will own production data science projects, apply advanced methods to large datasets, collaborate across teams, and mentor junior members.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent industry experience in advanced data-intensive problems.
• Expert Python and SQL with production-quality code.
• Experience applying analytical techniques to large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Own production data science projects from problem to analytical results.
• Design and validate behavioral heuristics and algorithms on blockchain data.
• Apply graph computation, ML, and statistics to large on-chain datasets.
• Identify inefficiencies and ensure integration into production tooling.
• Explain methodology and results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical hiring.
