Job summary

Blue Zoo Production is seeking a Lighting and Compositing Artist based in the UK to shape lighting, colour and mood for our characters, props and environments. You will balance the highest quality with deadlines, using Blender in a hands-on creative role.

You’ll collaborate with the Creative Lead, tweak renders, and optimise cycles/eevee to deliver visually rich shots within production timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to light scenes in Blender to match a creative brief.
• Strong eye for colour, mood and atmosphere in lighting.
• Ability to render efficiently within time budgets.

Responsibilities

• Use lighting setups in Blender to match a creative brief and adjust light types, intensities and colour.
• Work with Creative Lead to develop lighting setups as needed.
• Tweak light rigs, render setups and compositing templates to achieve the required look.
• Update render settings to optimise Cycles or Eevee renders.
• Monitor renders to stay within a render time budget.
• Collaborate across departments to move projects forward and address notes.
• Problem solve to fix errors and keep production on track.
• Manage time to meet shot deadlines and flag delays early.
• Take direction constructively and implement feedback professionally.
