Job summary

Blue Zoo Animation Studio in the UK is seeking a senior character animator to deliver high-quality performances using Blender, live capture, and bespoke tools. You will work with an animation team to meet deadlines, mentor juniors, and refine acting choices from blocking to final render.

The role supports flexible hybrid/remote options and starts in early Autumn 2026, with a focus on storytelling through character animation and collaboration across directors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable Blender proficiency and high-level body mechanics.
• Experience with face/body capture and lip-sync understanding.
• Ability to adapt to bespoke animation tools and rig setups.
• Strong time management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team of animators and communicate with the Animation Lead.
• Record and animate live takes using Blender from captured data and locked audio.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality performance aligning with the brief.
