The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Northern site in Barnstaple provides acute healthcare services to North Devon and surrounding areas. The hospital offers a range of specialist services across the UK and Europe. Located on the North Devon coastline, Barnstaple is well-connected by road, rail, and air, and close to Dartmoor scenery.
We invite applications from qualified and experienced Biomedical Scientists. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to organize and motivate staff. The appointee will assist the Blood Sciences management team in delivering a comprehensive, cost-effective, and high-quality laboratory service.
Applicants must be HCPC registered with significant Haematology and Blood Transfusion activity experience in an NHS Trust. A higher qualification such as MSc is expected, and management or risk/quality qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Blood Sciences Department, ensuring a robust service. Post-training, participation in a 24/7 shift pattern may be required.
37.5 hours per week, 24/7 shift pattern.
