We're seeking a Senior Applied Optical Scientist (Experimental) to join our team and help revolutionize personalized medicine.

Role Overview / Responsibilities

1. Develop optical approaches from concept to prototype to advance personalized medicine.
2. Collaborate with data scientists and bioclinicians to develop customer-aligned technologies.
3. Analyze experimental data to ensure approaches meet performance goals.
4. Stay updated on advancements in applied physics, optics, and spectroscopy for clinical use.
5. Communicate findings effectively across disciplines.
6. Contribute to research publications, patents, and conference presentations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Expertise in applied physics, optics, photonics, or related fields with experience in real-world experiments.
• Experience in an experimental laboratory, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Designing, building, and optimizing optical instruments or methods.
• Proficiency in optical simulations and data analysis (Python, Julia, etc.).
• PhD in Nanoscience, Physics, Physical Chemistry or related; extensive research experience with a Master’s may be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in academia or industry in interdisciplinary science.
