Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting a Senior BIM Technician on behalf of a leading mechanical engineering and contracting business in Northern Ireland. You will develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and MEP systems, producing precise drawings and coordinating multidisciplinary models to resolve clashes.

The role offers the opportunity to work within a growing technical team, contribute to BIM standards, and support project life cycles from design through to construction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as BIM Technician, Senior BIM Technician, BIM Coordinator or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM software.
• Experience producing detailed mechanical/MEP drawings and 3D models.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services and BIM coordination.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary models and resolving clashes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of technical accuracy.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working to BIM standards and ISO 19650 principles would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated and practical.
• Provide technical BIM support and contribute to continuous improvement across projects.
