Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting a Senior BIM Technician for a leading mechanical engineering and contracting business in the UK. You will develop and coordinate detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and MEP systems, ensuring accuracy and coordination across disciplines.

This role offers development within an experienced technical team and exposure to technically complex projects. Proven BIM experience, strong Revit skills, and the ability to resolve clashes are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as BIM Technician or related role.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM software.
• Experience producing detailed mechanical/MEP drawings and 3D models.
• Understanding of mechanical building services and BIM coordination.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary models and resolving clashes.
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with BIM standards and ISO 19650 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and MEP systems.
• Produce accurate technical drawings, layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Identify and resolve clashes and design issues through BIM coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications and design information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain and update BIM models and project documentation.
• Support the implementation and improvement of BIM standards, processes and workflows.
• Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated and practical.
• Provide technical BIM support and contribute to continuous improvement across projects.
