Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a BIM Coordinator for Building Services Engineering to lead BIM on projects within our multidisciplinary MEP team. The role is ideally based in a core Buildings office in London, Croydon, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow or Belfast, but other locations are considered, with collaboration across UK regional teams for national and international projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years BIM experience.
• Delivery of multi‑disciplinary building projects.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC/Forma and related tools.
• Understand MEP modelling constraints and deliverables.
• Strong BIM standards and ISO 19650 knowledge.
• Experience in managing CDE, clash detection, and team coordination.
• Systems thinking and understanding interdependencies.
• Organisational and time management to deliver multiple activities on time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across architecture, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Set up and maintain BIM models; clash detection and issue resolution.
• Lead coordination meetings; ensure teams follow BIM workflows and standards.
• Develop BEP and project information management resources.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and consultants for seamless model integration.
• Manage model assurance checks for geometric/alphanumeric compliance; contribute to CDE setup and use.
• Support training on BIM processes and tools; troubleshoot software issues.
• Prepare and oversee digital deliverables (COBie, IFC files, asset data).
• Present coordination outcomes and reports to clients and project teams.
• Support Design Team Lead and discipline BIM practitioners in the workstream.
