Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a BIM Coordinator for Building Services Engineering to lead BIM on projects as part of our multidisciplinary MEP team. This role is ideally based in one of our core Buildings offices in London, Croydon, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow or Belfast with UK-wide collaboration.

You will coordinate BIM models, run clash detection, develop BEP, support CDE setup, and train project teams to deliver high-quality digital deliverables such as IFC files and COBie.

Qualifications

• Essential: Minimum 5 years BIM experience.
• Essential: Delivery of multi-disciplinary building projects.
• Essential: Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC/Forma.
• Essential: Understand MEP modelling constraints, coordination strategies, and data delivery requirements.
• Essential: Strong BIM standards/workflows incl ISO 19650.
• Essential: Experience in managing CDE, clash detection and team coordination.
• Essential: Understanding of systems thinking and interdependencies.
• Essential: Good time management to deliver multiple activities on deadline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM models across architecture, structural, MEP and other disciplines.
• Setup, review, and maintain BIM models including clash detection and issue resolution.
• Facilitate coordination meetings; ensure BIM workflows and standards are followed.
• Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans and information management resources.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and consultants for model integration.
• Manage model assurance checks for geometry and data compliance; contribute to CDE setup.
• Support training on BIM processes and troubleshoot software issues.
• Prepare and oversee digital deliverables (models, drawings, COBie, IFC files).
• Present coordination outcomes and reports to clients and project teams.
• Support the Design Team Lead and BIM practitioners in the workstream.
