Job summary

Capita is seeking a Senior Bid Writer to own storytelling and the written quality of bids from strategy through final submission. You will work with a dedicated bid team, shaping how Capita’s solution is positioned and ensuring high-quality, compliant submissions.

Role requires experience in large-scale, public sector bids, exceptional editing skills, and the ability to manage multiple contributors under tight deadlines. Remote working is supported with client travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience leading written responses for complex, high-value bids.
• Outstanding writing and storytelling with ability to shape content direction.
• Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into clear narrative.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of clear, client-focused proposal content aligned to win strategy.
• Storyboard responses with Capture Directors to position Capita’s solution.
• Turn technical SME input into persuasive narrative and ensure consistency across submissions.
• Edit and refine content under tight deadlines and coach contributors on proposal best practice.
