Our client is looking for a tenacious Senior Bid Writer to join their small bid writing team.
Role Purpose
- You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Bid Writing Team to ensure that timely and high-quality written tender responses are submitted for selected opportunities.
- Take responsibility for reviewing tender alert sites, identifying, and logging opportunities for review by the Business Development Manager and Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality tender submissions that win new business for the company, as directed by the Business Development Manager, delivering new revenue to the business.
- Source opportunities from portals, framework completions, and inbound leads.
RFIs / PQQs
- Ensure relevant Go / No-Go assessment processes are followed for potential opportunities.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, proactively gathering information to produce written tender responses.
- Work closely with and coordinate input from relevant Consultants for solutions development and innovation.
- Participate in wash-up reviews for all proposals submitted.
- Undertake thorough research on potential clients to enable bespoke tender responses and contribute to developing strategies and unique selling points for bids, understanding each client’s requirements.
- Review and proofread tender responses to ensure they meet client objectives, comply with submission instructions and deadlines, and adhere to internal processes and bid planning documents.
- Manage post-tender clarifications in line with stated timescales.
Essential Core Skills and Experience
- Bid writing and tender management experience, ideally in consultancy or professional services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing at all levels.
- Proficient in using Word and Excel daily, with a proven track record of producing high-quality tender submissions.
- Excellent organizational skills, managing competing priorities effectively.
- Participate actively in project meetings, contributing positively.
- Collaborate across all areas of the business to support their aims and objectives.
- Manage individual workload, seeking support when necessary, maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.
