Job description

A well-established management consultancy is seeking a Senior Bid Writer to join its team. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Bid Writing Team to ensure timely and high-quality tender responses. You'll be responsible for identifying and logging opportunities from tender alert sites for review.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft high-quality tender submissions to win new business.
  2. Source opportunities from portals, frameworks, and inbound leads.
  3. Follow Go/No-Go assessment processes for potential opportunities.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with Consultants for solutions development and innovation.
  6. Attend launch and mid-bid review meetings, ensuring thorough understanding.
  7. Conduct research on potential clients to shape bespoke tender responses.
  8. Review and proofread tender responses to meet client objectives.
  9. Manage post-tender clarifications within stated timescales.
  10. Contribute to the bid library and tender process improvements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience in bid writing and tender management, ideally in consultancy or professional services.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Proficiency in Word and Excel, with a proven ability to produce high-quality tender submissions.
  4. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  5. Ability to contribute positively to project meetings.
  6. Commitment to following company processes and procedures.
  7. Collaborative approach, supporting company aims and objectives.
  8. Knowledge of Equality and Diversity, Environment, and Data Protection policies.
  9. Ability to manage individual workload and maintain high client satisfaction.
  10. Graphic and design capabilities are a plus.
