Senior Bid Project Manager

About the Role

As a Senior Bid Project Manager at Siemens Energy in Newcastle upon Tyne, your primary responsibility will be to handle the Bid & LOA process for assigned proposals, aiming to secure quality orders within UK markets. You will support internal teams such as Proposals and Business Development in preparing documentation and information requests.

  • Preparing bid/no-bid documentation and obtaining approval.
  • Formulating winning bid strategies aligned with business targets.
  • Defining scope and timelines with the capture team.
  • Maintaining transparency of bid progress.
  • Collaborating with the capture team for tender coordination.
  • Liaising with procurement and commercial teams on external inquiries.
  • Attending pre-tender meetings and site visits.
  • Reviewing and clarifying inputs from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Producing tender price calculations and ensuring risk mitigation.
  • Modeling cash flow and proposing payment terms.
  • Ensuring realistic, competitive, and supported cost estimates.
  • Capturing lessons learned.
  • Preparing tender approval documentation and obtaining management sign-off.
  • Compiling high-quality proposal documents.
  • Following up on tenders to ensure compliance and driven positioning.
  • Responding to customer clarifications and amendments.
  • Leading tender negotiations and presentations.
  • Ensuring order consistency and timely handover to operations.
  • Maintaining Salesforce database updates.
  • Conducting lost order analysis.
  • Managing tender budgets.
  • Building relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
  • Keeping management informed of progress and developments.
  • Conducting activities professionally and ethically, in compliance with procedures.
