Job summary

Willmott Dixon is seeking a dynamic Senior Preconstruction Project Manager (Bid Manager) for our Midlands region. Based in Birmingham with hybrid working, you’ll lead the preconstruction bid process across diverse sectors and manage internal and external resources to deliver bids on time and within budget.

You will oversee two-stage/negotiated tenders for projects from £10m to £100m, driving teamwork, sustainability objectives, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience leading diverse technical input and managing the bid/PSCA process.
• Construction background across multiple sectors helps.

• Motivating and leading a bid team of internal and external resources.
• Developing the commercial strategy with your team.
• Managing customer expectations through health checks and professional relations.
• Developing project strategies to meet sustainability objectives.
• Monitoring progress, managing risks and opportunities, and taking corrective actions.

• Ensuring a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations.
• Coordinating inception workshops to understand client needs.
