Job summary

Project Partners is seeking a Senior Bid Manager in Hemel Hempstead to own end-to-end bid processes from qualification to submission. The role blends strategy, governance and hands-on bid writing within a lean pre-construction environment, coordinating with senior stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant submissions.

The position is hybrid (3 onsite, 2 WFH) with a salary between £70k and £90k plus a car allowance, reflecting experience and framework complexity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bid professional experience across qualification to submission, with governance across frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong bid-writing, editing and proofreading judgement.
• Highly organised with ownership of submission quality, actions and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership from qualification onwards; agree bid strategy, governance route and submission plan.
• Establish programmes, deliverables matrices, responsibilities and decision points for each opportunity.
• Lead and manage concurrent bids; ensure inputs and decisions are secured to programme.
• Write, shape and edit high-quality responses from first principles; convert technical input into persuasive narrative.
• Develop strategic responses for major frameworks highlighting governance, value and long-term positioning.
• Coordinate review stages; resolve gaps and ensure a single coherent submission.
