Farrans Construction is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to own the bid process from opportunity through contract award. You will work with estimators, bid writers and technical specialists to craft compelling submissions that showcase Farrans’ strengths.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex bids within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or related sectors.
• Knowledge of bidding best practice techniques (Shipley, APMP).
• Excellent written communication and proposal development skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of bids from opportunity stage through to contract award.
• Lead and coordinate bid teams to deliver high-quality, winning submissions.
• Develop clear bid strategies that align with client priorities and maximise competitive advantage.
• Run bid kick-off meetings and ensure strategy, timelines and roles are clear.
• Keep bids on track, proactively managing progress, risks and deadlines.
• Review commercial, technical and quality responses for best-value submissions.
• Write and refine compelling content communicating Farrans' strengths and value.
• Lead preparation of tender presentations and interview materials.
• Manage client clarifications throughout the tender process.
• Share lessons learned and best practices to improve bids.
