Job summary

Oaklands College is seeking a Senior Report Writer to lead the development and continuous improvement of its BI, reporting and analytics environment. You will design and deliver reporting solutions, dashboards, and automated workflows to support decision-making, performance monitoring and funding compliance.

You will lead data development, including SQL Server databases, views, and data models, and build Power Apps to streamline processes and governance across college systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models and data visualisations.
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL development skills, including complex queries, views, stored procedures and functions.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and scheduled reporting solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate for business solutions.
• Strong knowledge of relational database principles, data modelling and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, maintenance and monitoring of enterprise reporting solutions across College systems.
• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, scorecards and data visualisations for governors, senior leaders and operational managers.
• Design, develop and support SSRS reports and scheduled reporting solutions.
• Create automated workflows using Power Automate to reduce manual processing and improve efficiency.
• Promote secure and sustainable use of the Microsoft Power Platform across the College.
