Job summary

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior BI Developer to build and operate production-grade reporting and analytics, translating business demand into measurable value with Power BI and data solutions.

You will set technical standards, mentor other developers, and drive forward-looking analytics including predictive and AI-assisted insights while ensuring reliable day-to-day reporting.

Qualifications

• A BSc or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience.
• CII qualification or working towards one (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Delivery: Build and deploy analytics products from prototype to production.
• Data engineering: Develop scalable pipelines and models for trusted reporting.
• Reporting product build: Create reusable datasets and dashboards to reduce change costs.
• Stakeholder engagement: Define requirements in terms of business outcomes.
• Adoption: Drive uptake so products are used in decisions.
• BAU and reliability: Keep day-to-day reporting accurate and performant.
• Continuous improvement: Improve delivery speed through automation and standardisation.
• Forward-looking analytics: Develop predictive/AI-assisted analytics.
• Technical leadership: Set BI development standards and mentor juniors.
