Job summary

Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust requires a Business Continuity Lead to deliver the organisation's programme of Business Continuity within the EPRR team. You will coordinate across services and divisions to embed preparedness, drive continuous improvement, and ensure robust assurance of local plans in line with national standards.

The role leads the BC team, ensuring statutory compliance and effective training, exercising and documentation, while supporting budgets and procurement

Qualifications

• Experience leading BC workstreams (planning, training and exercising).
• Knowledge of NHS EPRR assurance frameworks and Civil Contingencies Act.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of the Trust BC programme, ensuring ISO22301 alignment.
• Provide incident support and preparedness assurance to EPRR Lead and decision-makers.
• Coordinate activities across services and divisions to embed preparedness.
• Embed resilience and lessons learned into frontline service delivery.

Education

Degree in Business Continuity or related subject

DipHEPRR or equivalent
