Masdar is seeking a senior market analyst to establish a robust understanding of wholesale power and battery storage markets, initially in the UK. You will develop a strategic view, quantify regulatory impacts, and drive internal market intelligence to support investment decisions and portfolio monetisation.

The role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-moving energy sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or numerical subject such as Engineering, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.
• Relevant Master’s degree is an asset for the role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic view of battery storage markets, initially focusing on the UK.
• Assess regulatory and market design changes and their commercial impact on asset revenues.
• Build internal market intelligence and strengthen in-house modelling capability.
• Support Masdar’s battery strategy in alignment with broader objectives.
• Provide strategic input into bidding and investment processes.
• Lead commercial analysis for investment cases, power price formation, and market spreads.
• Own routes-to-market analysis, revenue models, and portfolio monetisation.
