Job summary

Cura Terrae’s Land & Nature division seeks a Senior or Principal Ecologist in the UK with strong bat ecology and a bat survey licence for at least three years. You will take ownership of projects, lead teams and deliver practical ecological solutions for complex challenges.

You’ll deliver bat surveys, impact assessments and mitigation plans, produce and review technical reports, mentor junior ecologists, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on tenders and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bat ecology expertise with bat survey licence for a minimum of 3 years.
• Knowledge of EPS licensing and related legislation.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring ecologists.
• Proactive, flexible approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ecological projects from inception to completion.
• Deliver bat surveys, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
• Produce and review high-quality technical reports.
• Support and mentor junior ecologists.
• Contribute to project planning, tenders and client relationships.
• Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams.
