Job summary

TEP - The Environment Partnership is seeking an ecologist with 4–5 years of field experience to lead diverse projects, conduct ecological surveys and prepare robust reports. You will supervise fieldwork, coordinate with clients, planners and regulators, and contribute to fee proposals and project viability.

Flexible, full-time permanent role with hybrid working. Membership in CIEEM and knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain desirable; degree in Ecology required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or related discipline.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
• Experience designing and delivering ecological surveys in a development/planning context.
• Strong project management and communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively with clients, planners and regulators.
• Experience producing ecological reports (e.g. PEAs, EcIAs and mitigation strategies).
• Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain and habitat surveys desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead on and contribute to a diverse range of projects, using field survey, assessment and reporting skills, and coordinate project work with professionals, clients, and design teams.
• Help clients navigate planning and licensing processes.
• Monitor the financial performance of designated projects.
• Lead on and contribute to the production of fee proposals for our work.
