Job summary

The Trust is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the Identity Management Services team in Dunton on a hybrid model (4 days onsite). You will design and implement secure, scalable Java-based backend services that support critical identity infrastructure.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and platform resilience in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

8+ years in backend development
Strong Java and framework experience
Server-side/web development
DevOps, CI/CD and version control
Security and identity management
Relational databases, monitoring and logging
Technical leadership/mentoring experience

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-scale backend services using Java
Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers
Drive best practices across development, security and DevOps
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
Support monitoring, logging, databases and platform resilience
Troubleshoot complex technical issues within an Agile environment
