Job summary

Diesta Limited is seeking a Product Engineer with strong backend experience to join our engineering team and turn complex insurance-finance problems into well-scoped, well-built product features.

You will work across NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, Docker and AWS backend, with some Angular Portal work when it helps delivery. You’ll build APIs and data-heavy capabilities that are reliable and testable, while using AI-assisted tools judiciously to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Ability to challenge unclear or incomplete specifications and identify risks.
• Experience designing APIs and data-heavy product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Product Engineering: Turn high-level product direction into practical implementation options, defining the smallest valuable end-to-end version.
• Backend Development: Design, build and maintain backend services, APIs, workflows and data-heavy capabilities using Node.js, TypeScript and AWS.
• Product Thinking: Flag gaps, edge cases, risks and workflow issues before they become expensive to fix.
• Scoping and Iteration: Break complex domains into clear version-one paths with milestones and customer releases.
• Technical Architecture: Contribute to backend architecture, data models and service boundaries balancing speed, maintainability and value.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Use AI tools to understand code, generate plans and improve productivity.
