CAIS is seeking a Senior Backend Product Engineer to join our Capital Markets technology team in London. This hybrid, hands-on role focuses on Pre-Trade, Trade and Post-Trade systems, including Structured Investments, ETFs, and more.

You will collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate open-ended problems into working software, with AI-driven features guiding development. You’ll work in small autonomous teams, own your code from problem to production, and contribute

Qualifikationen

• Experience building backend services in production with Java or Kotlin.
• Ability to turn business problems into working software with measurable impact.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, incident response, and testing.
• Strong Spring (Boot, Data, Security) knowledge and REST API design.
• Experience using AI-first approaches and understanding LLM outputs.
• Technical leadership and mentorship within teams.
• Clear communication of technical decisions to non-engineers.

Aufgaben

• Design, build and run systems across Pre-Trade, Trade and Post-Trade.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to shape requirements.
• Own testing and quality across the stack, including CI/CD and monitoring.
• Ship AI-enabled features and evolve the platform with a modern codebase.
• Operate in Kanban teams with strong engineering fundamentals and autonomy.
• Partner with colleagues in New York and other teams to deliver production systems.
