Job summary

Scispot is looking for a Senior Backend and Infrastructure Engineer to lead the development of cloud-based systems that enhance lab automation and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend programming with Python, FastAPI, or Java, as well as expertise in AWS and Azure infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with company founders and contribute significantly to the technical backbone of lab operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure systems.
• Strong production backend experience with Python and FastAPI, or Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Build and evolve backend services in Python and FastAPI or Java and Spring Boot.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for faster deployments.
• Monitor, alert, and debug production issues.
