Job summary

Ro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Care Platform Operations team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that support care delivery, scheduling, and communications for patients and providers.

As a senior member, you will shape the technical roadmap, drive engineering excellence, and collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions for millions of users in health care services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience architecting, designing and building scalable web applications and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems-data consistency, communication patterns, and service boundaries.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data‑intensive production systems.
• Ownership of technical roadmaps and ability to refine ambiguous problems.
• Proficiency with Python, relational databases, and frameworks like FastAPI or Django.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable backend services supporting patient and provider workflows.
• Own and help define the team’s architectural vision and technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Review code and design documents to ensure best practices are followed across domains.
• Maintain high reliability by participating in on‑call rotations and incident response.
• Improve testing, observability, monitoring, and performance tuning for critical systems.
