Job summary

Ro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, focused on reliability and security. You will shape Ro’s technical architecture and define the roadmap for critical platforms, collaborating with product managers and engineers across teams.

You will own end-to-end initiatives, optimize performance, and contribute to testing, monitoring, and deployment practices to deliver robust systems for Ro's telehealth platform.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Python, relational databases, and FastAPI or Django.
• Hands-on metrics instrumentation and data-driven performance tuning.
• Experience scaling data-intensive backend systems in fast-growth startups.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services.
• Design and implement new applications and enhance platform capabilities.
• Own initiatives from ideation through design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ensure architectural integrity.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure production reliability.
