Job summary

Drive, a leading automotive tech company in London, is seeking a backend engineer to design and build scalable Python services. You will collaborate with Product, Design and Sales teams to deliver robust systems.

You will work with Django, FastAPI, AWS, Elasticsearch, Kafka, GitHub and Redis, mentor juniors, and contribute to agile processes while enjoying hybrid work in Holborn and remote days.

Qualifications

• Strong backend design and Python programming skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable backend architectures.
• Solid understanding of databases, OO design, data structures and distributed systems.
• Excellent collaboration with Product/Design/Sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development of scalable backend services in Python.
• Turn business requirements into robust designs and high-level architecture.
• Advise on tools, frameworks, and new techniques.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Sales teams.
• Share technical solutions through code reviews and pair programming.
• Promote Agile practices and team improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor peers.
