Job summary

Altium Limited is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the federated Platform API and gateway services. You will work across SDKs, MCP servers, and API clients, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, cloud-enabled solutions.

The role offers high autonomy, opportunities to influence platform direction, and interactions with major technology partners globally. A strong emphasis on API accessibility and customer enablement is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable APIs and services.

Responsibilities

• Build, extend and maintain the API, including SDKs, MCP servers and API clients.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable services using C#, Python, Golang and other languages.
• Update and integrate web services with other Altium and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with backend/frontend, data platform and DevOps teams for deployments.
• Support API adoption and assist customers via SDKs and tools.
