Taptap Send is seeking a Senior Engineer to build and evolve our backend for cross-border remittances. You’ll join a fast-moving team, collaborating with Product, Operations and Customer Support to design secure, scalable systems that handle complex third‑party integrations and data flows.

The role emphasizes ownership of backend architecture, reliability, and performance, with opportunities to influence team culture and processes as we scale across countries and platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience.
• Proficiency with Kotlin or Java/JVM.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda).
• Experience implementing and managing complex third‑party API integrations.
• Experience building reliable, scalable backend systems under constraints.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Build out unified interface encapsulating dozens of third party payment integrations.
• Own backend system architecture and implementation.
• Develop performant and resilient data flows with security in mind.
• Collaborate with product to ship features regularly.
• Work in an iterative fashion and deliver timelines.
