Ocho People are partnering with a scaling cloud-native consultancy to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, build, and deliver scalable APIs and backend services powering enterprise digital platforms.

Join a highly collaborative engineering team with exposure to modern architectures, cloud deployments, and cross-functional collaboration with frontend, cloud specialists, and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Proven Node.js and TypeScript expertise.
• Experience building scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud platforms experience: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend services.
• Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs across cloud-native environments.
• Contribute to distributed systems architecture and decisions.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and cloud deployments.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
• Drive software quality, maintainability and performance.
• Support delivery across AWS and Azure environments.
