Job summary

Crane NXT is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design and build backend services and APIs using .NET and Java/Spring Boot. You will help shape architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and contribute to agile ceremonies in a cross-functional Scrum team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years developing commercial software.
• Experience with Git and team collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Jira).

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) and Java/Spring Boot.
• Collaborate on microservices and distributed systems.
• Write automated tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Review and improve systems to address bugs and performance.
• Maintain code quality through pairing, reviews, testing, and standards.
• Contribute to deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Octopus).
• Work with messaging systems, databases, caches, and monitoring tools.
• Help ensure services are observable, resilient, and scalable.
