Job summary

Push Gaming Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable platform solutions for its B2B iGaming ecosystem, including game servers and APIs. Hybrid in London or Warsaw, you will drive performance, reliability and secure coding practices.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, oversee code reviews, and collaborate with product, QA and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software on time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a strong background in backend development.
• Deep knowledge of one or more modern programming languages such as C#, Java, Go, Python or Node.js.
• Extensive experience building and consuming APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in database design and management across SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and a good understanding of DevOps principles including CI/CD and containerisation.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Direct experience in iGaming, online gaming, or a high-transactional SaaS industry.
• Understanding of the regulatory environment and technical compliance requirements within iGaming.

Responsibilities

• Build the backend: design, develop and deploy high-quality, scalable software for the B2B iGaming platform, game servers and APIs.
• Lead technically: provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Own performance: proactively resolve bottlenecks for high transaction volumes and low latency.
• Meet jurisdictional standards: ensure compliance with iGaming technical standards and regulations.
• Resolve production issues: troubleshoot and fix complex problems in production.
• Write code others can maintain: produce clean, well-documented code.
• Shape the architecture: lead code reviews and contribute to architectural design.
• Build security in: implement best practices for security and data protection.
• Work with the wider team: collaborate with product managers, QA and stakeholders.
